Terms of use

1. Who we are

LinkGigs (linkgigs.net) is operated by Alexandre dos Santos Tamer, Portuguese tax number (NIF) 333521463, address Estrada de Caselas, 88, 1400-054 Lisboa, Portugal ("LinkGigs", "we"). Contact: support@linkgigs.net.

2. What LinkGigs is

LinkGigs is a software platform that lets people and businesses ("clients") post service requests, and lets independent professionals and small businesses ("professionals") view those requests and, by using credits, obtain the contact details the client chose to share.

LinkGigs does not provide, sell or guarantee the services, does not take part in negotiations, does not set prices, does not receive payment for services and charges no commission. Any agreement is made directly between the client and the professional, who are solely responsible for it.

3. Account and verification

  • You must be at least 18 and create an account with accurate information.
  • Email and mobile number are verified at sign-up. Other channels (WhatsApp, Telegram) can only be shared once verified.
  • The same account can be used to request and to offer services. Professional mode requires choosing categories and a service area.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity on your account.

4. Service requests

  • Posting a request is free. The client chooses how long it is published, from 1 day to 1 month. If a service date is given, the request stops being visible on that date.
  • The client chooses which contact channels are shared. They are shown only to professionals who unlock them, up to five per request.
  • A request closes when it reaches five unlocks, when its period ends, or when the client closes it.
  • The client is told which professionals unlocked their contact and can view each one's short profile.

5. Credits

  • Professionals buy credits in packages at the prices shown on the For professionals page, plus applicable taxes.
  • The number of credits needed to unlock a contact depends on category and distance and is shown before you confirm.
  • Credits can only be used on LinkGigs, have no cash value, are not refundable in cash (except as set out in credits and refunds) and are not transferable.
  • Credits do not expire while the account is active. If an account is closed for breach of these terms, unused credits may be forfeited.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. LinkGigs does not store your card details.

6. Prohibited use

You may not:

  • post fake or illegal requests, or requests that do not reflect a real need;
  • use contacts obtained on LinkGigs for anything other than answering the request, including advertising or resale;
  • create multiple accounts, use other people's contact details or get around verification;
  • harass, deceive or discriminate against other users;
  • collect data from the platform by automated means.

We may remove content and suspend or close accounts that breach these terms. Users can report fake contacts or abuse through the platform or at support@linkgigs.net.

7. Liability

LinkGigs verifies contact channels but does not verify users' qualifications, quality of work or solvency, and is not a party to agreements between them. To the extent permitted by law, LinkGigs is not liable for damage arising from those agreements. Nothing in these terms limits the rights consumers have by law.

8. Changes and closing your account

We may change these terms and will give at least 15 days' notice by email of material changes. You can close your account at any time in settings or by email.

9. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Portuguese law. For consumer disputes, consumers may use CNIACC or another competent alternative dispute resolution body, and the Portuguese electronic Complaints Book.
