What we collect

• Account: name, email, mobile number, password (stored encrypted), language and country.
• Additional contacts: WhatsApp and Telegram, if you verify them.
• Location: postcode or locality, to calculate distances. Other users only see an approximate location.
• Requests and professional profile: categories, description, dates, service radius and any photos you choose to publish.
• Payments (professionals): credit purchase history. Card details are handled by Stripe and never reach us.
• Technical data: IP address and access logs, for security and fraud prevention.

Why we use it and on what basis

• Creating and running your account, publishing requests and showing them to nearby professionals: performance of the contract.
• Sharing your contact details with up to five professionals: your consent, given when you choose the channels for each request. You can withdraw it by closing the request.
• Verifying contacts and preventing fraud: our legitimate interest in keeping the platform safe.
• Invoicing and tax obligations: legal obligation.
• Emails about your activity on the platform: performance of the contract. Promotional messages only with your consent.

Who we share it with

• Professionals who unlock your request, and only the channels you chose.
• Providers that help us run the service: hosting and security (Cloudflare), payments (Stripe), and sending emails and verification codes by SMS or message.
• Authorities, when required by law.

We do not sell personal data. Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, always with appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

How long we keep it

Account data is kept while the account is active. Closed requests are deleted or anonymised after 12 months. Invoicing records are kept for the legal period (10 years). Technical logs are deleted after 6 months.

Your rights

You can ask for access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability, or object to processing, by writing to support@linkgigs.net. We reply within one month. You can also complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the CNPD, or to the authority in your country.

Cookies

We only use cookies that the site needs to work, such as keeping you signed in and remembering your language. We do not use advertising cookies. If that changes, we will ask for your consent first.
